ABOUT THE MHCA
Founded in 1943, The Manitoba Heavy Construction Association (MHCA) is a non-profit organization advocating the positive relationship between sustainable investment in infrastructure and our quality of life, the economy and the environment.
The Association promotes a safe workplace for industry employees, by providing an expansive safety, health and environment training and education program through its 'Manitoba Heavy Construction Safety Program (MHCSP).'
Our membership includes contractors engaged in roadbuilding, sewer & water, excavation, bridge building, the sub trades to contractors and the supply side of industry, including aggregates, petroleum, engineering, heavy equipment, financial and bonding agencies.

Perspectives is an appropriate new name to attach to this publication which, like the MHCA, is much more than what typically might be associated with the perceptions around trade organizations or associations. Through informative leading edge articles, Perspectives is designed to advance new public policy, articulate industry positions and views, suggest attention to innovation and speak to safety and environment related issues. Topics raised have included trade, transportation, infrastructure investment, economic growth policies, legislative and regulatory environments. Highlights include:

2009 marks the 17th consecutive year of publishing the MHCA Annual Magazine, which has been re-named Perspectives for the 2010 edition.
