Phil is a graduate of the Red River College, Occupational Safety and Health Program. Phil is a seasoned Safety Professional with extensive work experience in the heavy construction sector in Manitoba. Phil has attained designations in the Safety, Health and Risk Management disciplines. He holds a (CSO) Construction Safety Officer designation, attained his (P.GSC) Professional Gold Seal Certification for Construction Safety Coordinator through the (CCA) Canadian Construction Association and has graduated from the University of Winnipeg with a Certificate in Risk Management (CRM). 

Highly respected by his peers, Phil is frequently asked to participate on industry technical committees and in forums as a subject matter expert in the area of occupational safety and health. He plays a key role in administering the Construction Safety Officer (CSO) and (CSC) Gold Seal safety designations on behalf of the heavy construction industry safety practitioners.  Since joining the MHCA in 2007, he has been instrumental in promoting and helping employers in the construction industry sucessfully attain and integrate COR™ and SECOR certification. 

Phil is a consummate safety professional. He defines the type of person the MHCA is proud to have on our team. A proud father and husband, Phil enjoys the outdoors hunting, fishing, and camping with his wife Krista, sons Hunter and Cruz, and daughters Kaia and Tavia.   Phil joined MHCA in 2007.
